GP Partners
Dr Steven A Elliott

Dr Elliott graduated from the University in Dundee in 1994. He did the majority of his GP speciality training in Perth Royal Infirmary and was previously a trainee with the practice. After a year as a rural GP in Western Australia he joined the practice as a full time partner in 2000.
Dr Elliott has clinical interests in cardiovascular medicine, child health and minor surgery. His other interest is GP education. He is a GP trainer and has responsibility for the specialist GP trainees we have working in the practice. Dr Elliott is an examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners and in 2011 was made a fellow of the college in recognition of his commitment to GP training and assessment.
Dr Elliott is the Senior Medical Officer for Perth Racecourse, a St Johnstone FC fan and a keen mountaineer.
Dr Daniel N Smith

Dr Smith grew up in the North-East of England before moving to Scotland to study Medicine at Dundee University. He graduated in 2003 and went on to work in Ninewells Hospital before undertaking his GP speciality training in the Dundee Hospitals of Ninewells, Royal Victoria and Carseview. He was a registrar with the practice in 2006-07 before joining as a full time partner in February 2008.
Dr Smith is the clinical lead in the practice for Asthma and COPD. He has a special interest in general medicine and musculoskeletal problems. Dr Smith carries out minor surgical procedures in the surgery as well as joint injections. He is also an approved Educational Supervisor, responsible for GP trainees in the practice. Outside of the practice Dr Smith is a Senior Racecourse Medical Officer at Perth Racecourse.
Dr Jane Crichton

Dr Crichton studied Medicine in Aberdeen. She moved to Perth in 2000 and worked in various departments in Perth Royal Infirmary. A former registrar with the practice in 2003, she joined as a full time partner in August 2008 but is now working part time.
She has special interests in women’s health (including fitting and removal of coils and contraceptive implants), and travel health.
Dr Sara Smith

Dr Smith was brought up in Dundee and graduated with 1st Class Honours in Physiotherapy in 2003. She worked in NHS Tayside as a Physiotherapist before deciding to pursue a career in Medicine. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 2011 and undertook her GP training in Perth and Dundee. She joined the Practice in 2019. Along with Dr Stein, she is involved in supervising fourth medical students in the practice.
Dr Claire Stein

Dr Stein joined the practice as a partner in April 2021. Prior to this she was a GP registrar in the practice. She was brought up in South Wales and studied medicine as a graduate student at Oxford University. She graduated in 2012, moving to Scotland the same year. Before starting GP training here in Tayside, she worked in Glasgow and Lanarkshire, and also spent a year working and travelling in New Zealand. Dr Stein is the lead GP for child screening and also fits contraceptive implants. Along with Dr Sara Smith, she is involved in supervising fourth medical students in the practice. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing, and the great outdoors!

Dr Ross Jack

Dr Ross Jack joined us in October 2023 having previously completed his speciality GP training here in the practice.
Dr Jack grew up in Perthshire before studying in Aberdeen, where he graduated in 2016. After working in hospitals in Edinburgh and Fife he moved closer to home to complete his GP training with us here at the practice. In his spare time he enjoys musical theatre and getting outdoors in the hills.
Dr Shao Hwa Lim

Dr Lim joined us in September 2024 having previously completed his speciality GP training here in the practice. He grew up in Malaysia before studying medicine in Dundee, where he graduated in 2019. He did both his foundation training and specialty GP training in Tayside. In his spare time he enjoys photography and reading.
