Protected learning
The practice is closed between 12.00pm and 1.30pm on Wednesdays for staff training. This allows us time to improve and develop the services that we are able to provide our patients. There is a doctor oncall during this period for emergencies only.
On five Wednesday afternoons each year the surgery is closed for protected learning time (PLT). This is a Tayside-wide initiative and emergency medical cover is provided by NHS24 and the Out-of-hours service during this time. The dates of these PLT afternoons can be seen on the home page of this website.
