Online Services

As of the 4th June 2018, the practice switched off our original online prescription ordering service to move to a new system. These services include a new repeat prescription module and an online appointments booking module. The changes are being made to make our online services more secure, easier & quicker to use for you the patient, and importantly, clinically much safer.

The Practice contacted all current users of the old online service 3 months before switching off the old system to inform them that if they wish to continue to use an online prescription service, and benefit from the additional online appointment booking,  they will need to register before the 4th June 2018.

To help you make an informed decision about whether the new Online Services are suitable for you, we have 2 videos that show you how to use the Online Prescription Module & the Online Appointments Module. Please click the links below.

General Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Q: Why won't my account complete the validation process?

A: If you were handed the registration letter less than 60 days old, please contact the practice as there is possibly a technical issue.

A: If you were handed the registration letter more than 60 days ago, the security information on the letter will have been invactivated for security reasons. After receipt of the registration letter we will send e-mail reminders to patients to activate their account every 5 days. The practice may also invalidate un-activated accounts after 60 days for security reasons.

Q: Why can I no longer access my online account?

A: There are a number of reasons that could be the cause of the problem.

A: It may be that your username and/or password have changed, or you have forgotten them. In this case you should go to www.patient-services.co.uk and use the Forgotten username and Forgotten password links to reset one or both.

A: It could be a technical issue, please contact the practice.

Q: Can I register my children for online service?

A: Unfortunately, if your child is under the age of 16 we cannot register them for online services. This is because when registering, contact details such as a mobile phone number and an e-mail address are required and would most probably be the parents. Once the child reaches 16, an age when they may wish to deal with their own wellbeing, and they were registered for online services by their parents for all the right reasons, the contact details used for registration may remain as the parents if they are not changed. This could be construed to a breach of confidentuality.

Q: How will I know if an appointment request has been accepted?

Q: Can I let the Doctor know why I would like to see them when I book an appointment online?

A: If you would like to let the Doctor know whey you are requesting the booking, there is a reason box available for this. Although this is optional, it does help the Doctor to know why you would like to see them.

Q: Why can't I book a nurses appointment online?

A: Nurses appointments are genetrally longer than Doctors appointments and frequently need to be adjusted to ensure there is enough time to complete the consultation. Because you the patient may not know how long an appointment is needed, we must leave booking a nurses appointment to our experienced reception team.

Q: Can I cancel an appointment online?

A: Yes you can cancel an appointment online, but not within 3 hours of the appointment time. Cancelling an appointment within 3 hours may mean the appointment is wasted, but cancelling more than 3 hours in advance will give us a better opportunity to rebook the appointment.
