About the Green Practice
The Green Practice is one of the longest established practices in the city, having been founded in the 1870s by Dr Robert Stirling. We are an urban practice with an approximate practice list of 8800 patients and an 8-mile radius to cover.
In 1981 we moved from Atholl Place to Drumhar Health Centre. In 1996 we moved, along with another practice, to a purpose built health centre called Whitefriars Surgery. We have a young, friendly, dynamic and innovative multi-disciplinary team and aim to provide an exceptional standard of healthcare to all individuals.
The practice consists of 4 full time GPs and 2 part-time GPs. We have been a training practice for over 20 years and 4 of our current partners were previously GP Registrars with the practice.
We have 3 practice nurses and 2 health care assistants along with a practice manager, office manager and a number of full and part time receptionists and secretaries.
There are a number of clinics run within the surgery by the doctors and practice nurses. Most of our chronic disease management clinics are nurse led, with doctor involvement where necessary.
We have district nurses, health visitors, midwives and a pharmacist attached to the practice and they are based in the building also. This allows for excellent communication within the multi-disciplinary team ensuring good quality and continuity of patient care.
