Appointments
We have changed our appointment system in response to patient feedback. A large majority of our doctor appointments are now bookable on the day.
Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery on 01738 627912, or by calling into reception, on the day you require your appointment.
It may be appropriate for your query to be dealt with over the phone by either a doctor or a nurse. The receptionist will be able to advise you of the times they are available for telephone consultations.
- Appointments can be booked on the day.
- Requests for same day or routine appointments are to be requested on the day they are required.
- Telephone appointments are available with both the doctors and the nurses.
- There are a number of appointments with all doctors which can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. These appointments are useful for those patients who have a non-urgent problem and would like to plan in advance. They are spread throughout the day with the majority early in the morning or late in the evening to suit our working patients and those who find it difficult to attend during normal working hours.
Requests for same day appointments or house calls should be made before 10.00am where at all possible.
This will ensure that your problem is dealt with as swiftly as possible.
We hope that our system will allow us to deal with your request for help more rapidly and ensure that the most appropriate member of the practice team assists you.
Please note:
- We offer a service that allows access to a doctor or nurse within 48hrs (normally same day) as recommended by Government guidelines.
- We operate an extended hours service to improve patient choice and convenience when booking appointments. We are open untill 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
House Calls
Requests for house calls should be made before 10.00am where at all possible.
